Bear with me, this one's a bit strange.
This is a "passive" module and only needs control voltage to function.
Each light indicates an oscillator, all four oscillators loop a pattern of tones and clicks that de-sync over time, turning into an unpredictable CV source. The module begins functioning around 3v when LEDs start to glow red and you get sparse clicks and tones, as CV increases you get more clicks and tones, higher cv output, as well as more colors out of the LEDs. When voltage is dropped below about 3v, all four oscillators reset and are back in sync until they fall back out of sync over time.
This module is great for a strange, mostly random trigger and CV source. It plays well with Rings and is lots of fun to feed into low-pass filters and delay.
